The streaming giant is looking to hire someone to watch, rate, annotate, tag, and more of its near-700 pieces of original content it’s churning out this year.
Working out of Netflix’s Los Angeles’ offices, the ’entertainment-savvy’ editorial analyst will be responsible for helping ’categorize television series, specials, and movies for our 100+ million users.’ Basically, this individual will be a professional binge-watcher, specifically of Netflix’s original programming. The main requirements are a fluency in Japanese (presumably because Netflix Japan boasts the biggest library of original content) and five-plus years of experience in the film/television industry.
